Quora Feeds offer a wealth of handy information and content ideas straight from the minds and mouths of your market.

Follow any feed that’s relevant to your business and away you go.

For example, let’s say we enter the feed for Social Media Marketing. Here, we can read relevant articles, view questions asked around the topic and see a list of the 10 writers with the most answer views in the last 30 days.

Let’s look at these features more closely:

  • Read Tab: here you will find articles and guides published by Quora users on your chosen area. This is a great for gaining an insight into what content is popular and preforming well.
  • Answer Tab: Here, you’ll find all the questions being asked in this area, alongside how many times the questions have been answered.

For example, these are just some of the questions being asked around the topic of social media marketing:

  • What are advantages of social media?
  • How can I generate more leads?
  • What are 5 Instagram metrics to follow?

As you can see, this lets you gain a real insight into what real people – your audience – want to know about.

You can also click on a question to enter into the question and answer thread. This will allow you to see the range of different answers that have been provided.

Top tip: take note of how many answers a question has received. A thread with 399 answers obviously has far more interest than a question with no answers. This is a great indication of what subjects are more popular amongst your audience, meaning you can gear your content towards these more pressing subjects.

Search Quora

 

You’ll notice the search bar to the top of the page.

This is another way to navigate around the forum. Simply enter your topic or keyword to find questions, answers and articles around that subject.

Having entered our keyword, in this case Instagram Marketing, we can filter our results in the left-hand menu:

 

  • By Type: depending on whether you want to view all content types, just questions, answers, posts, users’ profiles, topics or spaces.
  • By Time: to view content from the past hour, day, week month, or year. This is a great little feature for businesses looking to keep a finger on the pulse. By simply filtering results from the past hour or day you see fresh, topical questions.

Like in feeds, we can then enter into the question and answer thread to see what answers have been provided to gain even further content ideas.

We can also see how many users have followed the question. As mentioned above, the more users that follow a question, the more interest there is around that topic which is worth considering when crafting your content strategy.

Hang out in Spaces

 

Spaces were introduced by Quora in 2018. The platform announced that spaces was “a feature that allows people to curate collections and form communities around shared interests and tastes.”

 

Spaces are used:

  • To form communities of people with similar interests to have conversations around the topic area
  • By groups of users working together to create the most interesting answers and links about that particular subject

For example, let’s follow the ‘Instagram for Marketers’ space:

Here, we can view questions being asked in this niche, answers provided as well as shared news and articles.

Spaces are typically where you’ll find subject enthusiasts or experts hanging out, making them a great place to head for further content ideas.
